Sex toys for the underage or those without money

Sex toys are great. They can give another dimension to sex or masturbation, can make orgasms better, can make it easier to orgasm, or they can simply increase your or a partner’s pleasure. But what about all the people who can’t get ahold of sex toys either because they’re underage or they don’t have a lot of money to spend or for other reasons? Luckily there are still options.

Getting Sex Toys Online

Even if you’re underage if you have an income and either have a bank account or pay pal or get a pre-paid credit card you can buy sex toys online. Most sex toy sites deliver in inconspicuous boxes. You can look on the website’s information and usually they will tell you they deliver inconspicuously and they usually have a different company name that also does not indicate that it sells sex toys that will appear on any bank statements. If you’re still scared your parents will open your package, try getting a P.O. box.

If money is an issue, check and see if one of these websites has an ambassador program. If you have a website (even a tumblr) you may be eligible to do product reviews, post banners, or do blog posts in exchange for free toys or store credit.

Buying in store

If you do have the money, you can always try buying a sex toy. The main problem is that a lot of sex toy stores card at the door, but sometimes they don’t. You may get lucky. Also, there are a lot of gag shops like Spencers, some card and some don’t. The main problem is anything with a tag that says “novelty use only” isn’t good quality. That’s how they get away with it because it’s not technically supposed to be used. Use a condom or barrier method with these. There are also more products being sold in grocery stores or pharmacies that won’t card. Trojan sells small finger vibes for really cheap and because they’re Trojan and found everywhere you won’t be carded. Just see what is around in your area and what you can get away with.

Making your own sex toys

Really, anything phallic can be used for vaginal penetration or clitoral stimulation. Just make sure that it’s not porous or coming apart, splintering, or have any holes in it and cover it with either a condom or non-microwavable saran wrap. Wash it before and after use. Common ones involve makeup brush handles (it’s a good idea to cut off the bristles first), candles (although just a warning they are likely to bend or warp inside of you as your vagina can be pretty warm and make the wax more pliable… I’ve had to explain away some warped candles in my day), hairbrush handle, or old toys. DON’T insert anything into your anus that doesn’t have a flared base. The anus sucks things in and unlike the vagina it doesn’t have a wall that will keep whatever you insert from being lost. You will probably end up on the long list of people who need to go to the ER to remove objects from their anus. Trust me it’s a long list. So althogh these things are great for vaginal penetration some should not be used for anal. Also, if you like to get crafty you can make your own silicone dildo. Since you can make your own mold, you can make it an anal dildo and give it a flared base.

Anything that vibrates works well for clitoral. This includes massagers, electric toothbrushes (not the end with the bristles), and most infamously the Neutrogena Wave. Just make sure that you have a barrier method and keep it clean. Also, you can sit on the dryer to get good vibrations. You can also use the shower head or faucet directed at your clitoris. Just make sure it doesn’t get in your vagina as this can cause infection.

For penile stimulation you can make your own fleshlight. There are tons of ways to do this with a lot of different kinds of house hold objects used. Basically you find a cylinder, find some soft product like a towel or sponges or other kind of foam and something slick like surgical gloves to keep the soft product clean. Some people also do this with bubble wrap. You can also just cut out foam rubber and use a condom. Here is a more complicated tutorial though you can look up more of the simpler ones. If you want something for sensation play, you can use a comb or anything with bristles, a spatula or anything flat that could be used for spanking, tassles, an ice cube wrapped in a glove (although be careful and if it hurts stop), silk cloth, clothes pins or other clamps, or candle wax. Just remember to come up with a safe word and to be careful. Since these things weren’t necessarily designed with sex in mind they can be more dangerous than sex products. Be sure to do your research. If bondage is more your thing it’s best to not use silk as they can get really tight and difficult to manage. Only use if you can get to scissors to cut them. It’s best to use something made of cotton. It is a good idea to use this with a partner you trust so they can help you get loose if you need to. Don’t be afraid to get creative with your home made sex toy! Just make sure that it’s a size you can handle, that there’s no sharp bits, and that you can easily keep it clean and keep it covered when you use it. There are a lot of books and websites on DIY sex toys, so do some research!

I am of the opinion that sex toys should be available to underage teens, I think it would make a world of difference to sex positivity and body positivity (not to mention just general knowledge about your own sexual desires and workings).
