White teenage girls dress up “like injuns” and dance around half-naked and war whooping.2. Women of Indian descent come up and say that’s not cool, it’s super offensive, and you should stop that right now.3. Many even provide linkage to well-written articles about why it’s uncool, how appropriation and fetishization hurts communities and culture.4. White teenagers cry.5. White teenagers make graphics and blogs about how they’re being cyber bullied because someone told them they did something offensive and could they please stop doing it.
